iPad establishes itself in the world of business – Sensix discovers the potential in the area of CRM

Together with Lead Customers the CRM full service provider Sensix works out possible fields of applications of the iPad within sales. The goal is to further increase efficiency and clout in the field service.

Munich, 27 April 2010 – An intelligent application of mobile devices allows a lasting improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of marketing and sales and field service. According to the CRM specialist Sensix, the Apple iPad - similarly as already the iPhone - takes a pioneering role in this area. Because of this, the company tests the possibilities for using CRM on the Apple device even before the official market launch of the iPad in Europe.

Sensix receives great interest, above all from companies in the areas pharmaceutical industry, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), and construction supplier industry. Companies whose sales force conduct more than five customer meetings per day show an enormous potential for efficiency in the preparation, execution and post-processing of visits. Through the use and application of mobile devices like the iPad a number of actions (appointments, reports about visits, administration of open issues, or spontaneous suggestions for visits) could be carried out in a significantly shorter time.

The relevant CRM technologies Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Oracle on Demand, salesforce.com, SAP CRM and update.seven have been already tested on the iPad. First concept and implementation projects with Lead Customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have already been set up and, according to Wolfe W. Diener - executive chairman of Sensix AG (plc), they enjoy considerable popularity.
