The media industry relies on CRM and Sensix. |
Starnberg, 22 January 2008. Having, especially over the last couple of years, undergone profound changes, the print media industry needs to assert itself in an altered market environment. The cost pressure caused by the relocation of advertising budgets to alternative advertising channels such as the internet and the changes online media have wrought on the reading behaviour are considered to be major catalysts. In this market environment, the media are increasingly relying on new customer acquisition methods both in the traditional advertisement and subscription business and in the online business, where the traditional print media have begun to leverage the advantages of their combined products in the print and online sectors. It is because of these trends that customers and their ever-changing predilections are becoming increasingly important. This is the main reason for companies to invest in the customer relationship management and in the relevant CRM tools.
In Austria, Sensix was able to win the company Mediaprint Zeitungs- und Zeitschriftenverlag GmbH u. Co. KG as a high-class customer. Mediaprint is responsible for the advertisement space buying, printing and sales of the Austrian newspapers Kronen Zeitung, Kurier and Neue Kärtner Tageszeitung. By introducing the CRM solution update.seven to its subscription sales, Mediaprint is hoping to optimise its customer service and the activity management for about 350 users.
'What was crucial when we opted, together with our consulting partner Sensix, for update's software were the company's CRM focus and its experience in similar projects in the media sector', says Horst A. Pensold, MSc, the Kronen Zeitung's Sales Manager.
Having specialised at a very early stage on the media sector, Sensix has systematically extended its competency as a dedicated CRM specialist in the sector over the last couple of years. Among the most important customers of Sensix is the famous German pubishing house Axel Springer Verlag, which, with more than 170 newspapers and magazines in 33 countries, is simultaneously one of the leading international media companies.
Likewise, numerous other publishing houses such as Braunschweiger Zeitungsverlag, Tiroler Tageszeitung, Nordwestzeitung, Neue Westfälische Zeitung and Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung are relying on the media competency of Sensix.
